005  ANTHOTYPE  ANIMATION

Anthotyping is one of the most ancient techniques for printing and archiving. In this experiment, animations are created through the use of food scraps like spinach leaves and beetroot juice.

005 PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The process of creating an anthotype uses pigments from plants and exposure to sunlight to develop an image. This project explores the creation of homemade inks, using common household food waste, specifically foods with strong natural pigments and high UV light sensitivity, to create high-contrast images that are later animated into short gifs.
